SHAWN WILLIAM PARKER
NBA 2K PA ANNOUNCER
NBA 2KTV TOP PLAYS
FIVE TITLES. MILLIONS OF PLAYERS. A VOICE YOU KNOW.
Shawn Parker is one of the in-game Public Address Announcers for the NBA 2K video game series, having voiced NBA 2K22, NBA 2K23, NBA 2K24, NBA 2K26, and NBA 2K27 for 2K Sports. Millions of players worldwide hear his voice in the game’s arenas, calling lineups, announcing substitutions, and delivering the authentic in-arena experience that makes 2K the gold standard in basketball simulation.
His work in the game is a direct extension of his real-world role: Shawn currently serves as the PA Announcer for the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets at Spectrum Center and previously held the same role with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The authenticity 2K Sports brings to the game starts with voices that have actually done this job, in real arenas, in front of real crowds, with real stakes on the line.
Now he also brings that energy to NBA 2KTV, 2K’s official YouTube show, introducing Top Plays on NBA 2KTV as one of the show’s announcers.

FROM THE ARENA TO THE GAME
Recording for NBA 2K is a studio process that draws directly on live announcing instincts. Every player name, every lineup call, every in-game announcement has to carry the same energy and precision as a live NBA game without the crowd, the lights, or the adrenaline to drive it.
That's the discipline Shawn brings to every session: the ability to manufacture presence in a controlled environment and make it feel completely real to the person playing at home.
"He consistently brings a degree of professionalism and craftsmanship that makes our game all the more authentic and that much more endearing to our fans." - Brian Buel, Audio Producer, 2K Sports
