NBA PA ANNOUNCER & PROFESSIONAL VOICE ARTIST
I'm Shawn Parker, the Public Address Announcer for the NBA's Charlotte Hornets and one of a small group of voices working at the highest level of professional sports announcing in the country.
I began my PA career at George Washington University before joining the Minnesota Timberwolves — where I spent multiple seasons announcing in front of sold-out NBA crowds at Target Center. I then relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina, where I've served as the PA Announcer for the Hornets at Spectrum Center, bringing energy and presence to 41 home games per season in front of crowds up to 17,000 fans.
My work has been heard on ESPN, TNT, NBA TV, and Bally Sports North. I'm one of only a handful of announcers to voice an NBA franchise in two different cities — and my in-game work has been featured in NBA 2K22, NBA 2K23, and NBA 2K24, reaching millions of players worldwide.

Beyond the NBA, my announcing career spans more than a decade across professional football, baseball, soccer, hockey, volleyball, softball, and professional wrestling. I've served as the PA Announcer and Director of Broadcasting and Game Production for the Carolina Stars women's professional football team, and previously held similar roles with the DC Divas Women's Professional Football organization.
My play-by-play and studio hosting work has appeared on Mediacom, Town Square Television, the NFHS Network, Gametime Minnesota, George Washington University Sports, and The Gameday Broadcast Network. I called the 2024 HBCU All-Star Dream Classic live from Harlem's legendary Holcombe Rucker Park.
In 2025, I was named a finalist for the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament Final Four PA Announcer role — one of the most competitive PA positions in college sports.

VOICEOVER WORK
As a non-union professional voiceover artist, I've recorded commercial spots, corporate narration, promo reels, DJ drops, podcast intros, and IVR/telephony projects for clients across sports, entertainment, and business. My studio credits include NBA 2K22, NBA 2K23, and NBA 2K24 for 2K Sports, where audio producer Brian Buel has called my work "professional and craftsmanlike" — adding authenticity that resonates with millions of fans who play the game.
